BANG!
The bathroom door slammed open.
“Yuna! What the hell is all that noise—”
“!!!”
Both Yuna and Kirin froze.
Standing at the doorway was none other than Rain Kawasaki—Yuna’s beloved older brother.
And his face…
Was beyond furious.
“Wait! It’s not what you think!!”
Yuna yelled before her brother could jump to conclusions!
Rain stood stiffly at the door, his expression a mixture of shock and absolute rage as he took in the scene before him—
His little sister. Holding the wrist of a completely naked man. In her bathroom.
Kirin, still wrapped in a bright pink towel, blinked at the tall, deadly-looking man before him. The guy had an intense, sharp gaze that screamed “I can kill a man with one punch”. He was slightly taller than Kirin, with a face so stone-cold and menacing that he could easily pass for a yakuza boss.
Then—
“Heh.”
A low, dangerous chuckle escaped Rain’s lips.
Kirin instantly felt it.
Impending doom.
“Who the hell is this bastard?”
Rain’s cold voice sent a shiver down Kirin’s spine.
Yuna immediately threw up her hands in defense before her brother threw the first punch.
“B-Bro! There’s a reason for this!”
“A reason? A naked man in my little sister’s bathroom—that’s the reason?”
Rain’s sharp eyes drilled into Kirin, as if he were already calculating how to knock him out in one hit.
“Uh… well…”
Yuna knew that no matter what she said, her brother wouldn’t believe it. The only solution—
Get Kirin out of here before Rain loses it.
Without hesitation, she grabbed Kirin’s wrist and yanked him toward the door.
“I’ll explain later! Right now, YOU—go put some damn clothes on!”
“Hey! I can walk by myself, stop dragging me!”
Kirin protested, but Yuna ignored him. She shoved him into her bedroom, flung open her wardrobe, and tossed a set of her brother’s clothes into his hands.
“Here! Wear these!”
Kirin eyed the clothes with displeasure.
“I don’t wear other people’s clothes.”
Yuna narrowed her eyes.
Was he seriously being picky at a time like this!?
“Do you wanna die!?”
Kirin wrinkled his nose—until his gaze landed on the label.
Armani.
His brow arched slightly.
Luxury brand. High-end. The kind he usually wore.
But of course—
He wouldn’t admit that.
“Hmph. Not bad, I guess.”
Yuna rolled her eyes.
“Oh, how generous of you, Your Highness. Now hurry up!“
∘ ∘ ∘ (°ヮ°) ?
5 minutes later…
Kirin emerged from the room—and Yuna nearly forgot how to breathe.
He wore a crisp, long-sleeved dress shirt, the sleeves casually rolled up, paired with perfectly fitted trousers that accentuated his lean, toned physique.
The aura of a fashion-forward rich boy was blinding.
Yuna clenched her jaw.
Okay. She had to admit.
This stupid cat was stupidly good-looking.
BUT!
Now was NOT the time to admire a man who had just turned from a cat into a human!
*”Alright! Now tell me—what the hell are you!?”
She crossed her arms, glaring.
Kirin sighed, rubbing his temples.
“A human. Obviously. What do you think? An alien?”
“But you were a cat!”
“Yeah.”
“And now you’re a man!?”
“Yep.”
“HOW!?”
“I told you already. I was cursed.“
Yuna’s jaw dropped.
“Oh, come ON! You really expect me to believe some fantasy crap like that!?”
“Got a better explanation?”
Kirin raised a brow, his expression infuriatingly smug.
Yuna felt the overwhelming urge to punch him.
But before she could continue arguing—
The door swung open.
Rain walked in.
His sharp gaze locked onto both of them.
“Yuna. Start talking.”
Yuna flinched.
Her brother was NOT the type to let things slide.
If she didn’t explain this properly, Rain might just toss Kirin out the window.
“Uh… well—”
But before she could come up with a half-decent excuse—
“I’m her boyfriend.”
Kirin’s deep voice cut in.
“…!?”
Yuna’s eyes widened in horror.
“What!?”
Rain’s gaze immediately darkened.
“Say that again.”
“I’m her boyfriend,” Kirin repeated, completely unfazed.
“We were just having a dumb argument, that’s all.”
“BOYFRIEND!?”
Yuna’s jaw nearly unhinged from rage.
“WHO SAID THAT!?” she hissed under her breath.
Kirin smirked, leaning slightly toward her.
“Or would you rather tell him you kissed a cat, and I turned into a man?”
“…!!”
Yuna’s fists clenched.
This bastard…!
Rain narrowed his eyes at Kirin, his protective brother instincts on full alert.
“You’re seriously dating this guy?”
Yuna gritted her teeth, glaring daggers at Kirin.
“I—”
“Yes.”
Kirin cut in immediately, throwing an arm casually around her shoulder.
“She’s my girlfriend.”
Yuna felt her face heat up in fury.
This damn cat!
How dare he make things worse!?
∘ ∘ ∘ (°ヮ°) ?
“Well?”
Rain’s deep voice pressed for confirmation.
The weight of his intimidating presence nearly suffocated Yuna.
She swallowed hard.
Why…
WHY DID THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN TO HER!?
She stole a quick glance at Kirin.
The source of all her problems—
And he had the nerve to wink at her.
Oh, she was going to KILL him.
“I—”
“Shut up!”
Yuna snapped, cutting Kirin off before he could make things worse.
For the first time, Kirin actually looked a little startled by her outburst.
Did she just… yell at him!?
Her sharp glare was terrifyingly fierce.
And oddly enough…
It made him a little nervous.
“P-Pfft.” Kirin coughed, looking away.
Meanwhile, Rain was still waiting.
Yuna clenched her fists.
She had no choice.
“Y-Yeah. That’s right.”
Kirin blinked.
“What?”
Rain’s eyes narrowed further.
“So you’re really dating him.”
Yuna felt her soul leave her body.
“Mmhmm,” she mumbled through gritted teeth.
Kirin looked absolutely shocked.
She actually went along with it!?
∘ ∘ ∘ (°ヮ°) ?
Rain still looked unconvinced.
“Even if that’s true… I still don’t trust you.”
His intense gaze landed squarely on Kirin.
“So if you want to date my sister…”
Kirin suddenly felt an ominous chill.
“You’ll have to go through me first.”
Silence.
Then—
“A test for my potential brother-in-law… sounds fair, doesn’t it?”
Yuna facepalmed.
She KNEW this was coming.
Why couldn’t she predict lottery numbers instead of disasters like this!?
